QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum requirements: Must have Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Hygiene or related field. The qualified candidate shall have two years of Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety and/or Environmental Health experience including customer service and interpersonal skills.

Job Description:
Inspection Experts, Inc. is seeking for a professional Industrial Hygienist to join our
Environmental Department in performing environmental health/industrial hygiene
investigations, studies, and support field activities requested for government customers
worldwide.

Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Comply to a background check and ability to obtain a Federal Identification
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet
  • Mandatory COVID-19 vaccination
  • Occasional travel within the U.S.

Job Duties and Responsibilities including the following but not limited to:

  • Conduct Indoor-Air-Quality (IAQ), water quality, and safety assessments-based employee complaints and other Agency requirements.
  • Conduct local exhaust ventilation system surveys.
  • Conduct air/water/soil sample collection using direct read instruments and sample collection media.
  • Perform quality assurance activities related to environmental health/industrial hygiene investigations, studies, and evaluations, which may include calibrating industrial hygiene and environmental sampling instrumentation, using appropriate sampling techniques, analytical standards.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative fit testing.
  • Review all aspects of the asbestos abatement project process, including submittals by asbestos abatement contractors. Approval or reject of asbestos abatement plans.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local standards, OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910), EPA, National Fire Protection Association codes and standards (NFPA 101, etc.), American National Standards Institute Standards, National Building Code, ASHRAE, USGBC, etc.
  • Ability to communicate in writing in order to prepare correspondence, briefings, etc.
  • Provide support to corporate safety program through training, oversight, and accident investigation.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually
