January Meeting – Industrial Hygiene – “I am not an Expert, but These are Good Things to Know”

Topic:  Industrial Hygiene for the Non-IH

This presentation will be on the essential information that any EHS professional performing IH tasks should know—questions to ask, things to look out for, and where to find information.  Also some information on how the various EHS disciples are interrelated.

Speaker: Christie De Vito, CIH, GSP of Northrup Grumman 

Christie is a Principal Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer with Northrop Grumman.  She worked at NGC’s heavy manufacturing site in Sunnyvale, CA performing a wide range of EHS tasks for 3 years before transferring to the Annapolis, MD location last year.  She obtained her MS in Industrial Hygiene from the University of Iowa and BS in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP).  She has her CIH and GSP, and is hoping to sit for the CSP next year.  Christie sits on the AIHA Potomac Local Section board as a Director At Large.
