Join us for a small group tour of the Reworld Alexandria Waste-to-Energy Facility. This award-winning thermomechanical treatment facility serves approximately 400,000 residents in Arlington County and the City of Alexandria, providing reliable and sustainable waste management solutions. Each year, the facility processes more than 350,000 tons of waste that would otherwise end up in landfills.

In addition to reducing landfill waste, Reworld™ is committed to safe operations and minimizing environmental impacts. The facility has been consistently recognized for operational excellence, including OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) Star certification.

PPE Requirements
Participants are required to bring hard-toe boots, long pants, and long sleeves. The chapter will provide custom hard hats, ANSI safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves.
